Volunteering Opportunities

Thanks for looking at our Volunteering page. Volunteers can support us in lots of different ways, such as welcoming and chatting to service users, collecting donations, teaching ESOL classes (ESOL qualifications are required), helping service users understand life in the UK, helping service users find the right practical items from our supplies, computer and data work, etc.

Our volunteers must align with our values of Dignity, Welcome, Compassion, Social Justice, Empowerment.

Current opportunities

ESOL Assessor

We are looking for someone to help carry out initial assessments for new students so we can ensure we place them in a class at the right level. You will need to have experience of teaching ESOL students and an awareness of the ESOL level structure. We will provide all the assessment materials. This is a very flexible role and days and times can be arranged to suit. You would not need to come in every week.

We are looking for experienced/qualified ESOL tutors to teach in our formal classes starting in September. The classes range from Pre-entry to Entry 3 level, and each class has two 2-hour sessions per week. Tutors can volunteer for one or two sessions per week. All classes take place between 10.30 and 4.00 on weekdays.
